Rainbow Vacuum Cleaner - The Real Story

Saturday 9 August 2008 @ 10:16 pm

The Rainbow Vacuum Cleaner Tale… and wife who dearly loved her family and wanted the very best for them. So, she bought a Rainbow

You see, she had heard from all of her friends and family that in order to keep a good clean home she must vacuum the carpets with a vacuum sweeper that uses water instead of a bag.

She loved to clean her little house with her Rainbow vacuum because it was so much fun. The main thing she liked to do was turn the water in the water basin dirty.

She would dance around the house happily pulling her lightweight Rainbow vacuum around on it’s wheels while singing up a storm. Speaking of storms, that’s how the Rainbow cleans the air.

If the air in her home was musty or stale she would beam all over because she knew she was going to pull the Rainbow out of the closet, put clean water in the basin, squirt a little apple blossom fragrance in the water, and turn it on.

She was always delighted at the clean smell that was produced after using this method of cleaning the air. Actually what happened was the machine water washed the air and made it smell like it does outside after a summer rain shower.

Today, many years later, she is still happy with her Rainbow vacuum because she knows if she ever needs parts they are easy to get and she still loves to use her little cleaning buddy to clean house because they make such a good team.

Spiritual Money Making

Saturday 9 August 2008 @ 9:49 pm

I have long been a seeker of a spiritual understanding of life. I suppose my training in the field of psychology could have only lead to such a path. I wish I could say that my efforts have lead to me becoming some sort of a spiritual guru, but the truth is that I am still just an average guy trying to understand and develop a lifestyle guided by spirituality.

Even with my personal connection to the spirit, for most of my adult life I did not realize that there could be a spiritual aspect to making money. Being spiritual was one thing, and making money was totally separate and had absolutely nothing to do will spirituality. Now, I believe that such an attitude has limited my ability to acquire wealth. In fact, thanks to a program called

Principles Of Basketball Shooting

Saturday 9 August 2008 @ 9:22 pm

Dropping the basketball inside the hoop accurately with every shot aimed towards the basket is the goal of every player. Despite knowing this, few achieve it consistently. There is always room for improvement. With regular practice and discipline, shooting a basketball can be perfected.

As a basketball player, it is up to you to be your own critic of your shooting ability while at the same time guarding your moves. Can you execute them accurately? Do you fail more than succeed? Only you can be the judge. While there are basics and techniques that are very important, you have to judge whether you are constantly improving your success rate in basketball shooting.

Let’s take a look at some of the principles of basketball shooting.

Mental Principles of Shooting

The Mental Principle is vital to handle the pressures of competitive court play. Handling such pressures and being effective is the key to success. Some factors affecting the mind during play are given below.

Confidence: Confidence and courage will be the key. If you have a high level of self-confidence in your ability to shoot accurately, you can do it. On the other hand, if you suffer from lack of self-confidence, the whole game could be jeopardized.

Concentration: Being focused during attempts at shooting is vital for every player. It takes constant practice and you can stay focused despite a lot of distraction around you. To reach this level of concentration, it is necessary for you to learn how to relax even when being directly attacked by an opponent.

Physical Principles of Shooting

The Physical Principle: It is not enough that you are mentally strong. The state of your physical condition also matters.

Some other important aspects are given below.

Establish the target: This means staying focused on your target despite the din of the roaring crowd and the constantly shifting status on the court. Your eyes have to be on the ball and the player holding it all the time, while in play.

Body balance: Staying relaxed and controlling the efforts of your muscles and keeping the ball under control, is body balance.

Force generation: Basketball is a highly physical game. Using the entire body, shoulders, back, legs, arms and other muscles in a coordinated and effective way is force generation.

Basketball shooting is a vital element of the game that will decide how your team performs and whether you win or lose the game.

As you can see, there are many factors that come into play that can have an affect on how well you shoot during any given game. It is important that you have practiced your shots and that you are in top physical condition. Equally important is your mental state during the game, you should be focused and self confident you will make the shots.

Problems in article marketing

Thursday 7 August 2008 @ 8:50 pm

When you click on search engines, your three keywords will literally result to a thousand of websites. You can thank article marketing for that bit of fact.

Article marketing is the use of well-written articles to supply information on a topic that is closely related to a product. For instance, if you are selling a medicine on diabetes, a great way to promote the product and to catch the eye of people with diabetes is to write an article about diabetes! That way, your target market will be caught.

Articles used for this type of marketing will often include a bio box that will list down the company, the product and the contact details. Some will even have pictures of the product beside it. Quality articles that are used in this field are often informative and short. After all, you want to keep them interested and not bored them to death!

It is not surprising that in recent years, the world wide web has caught on to its effectiveness. Article marketing now has become an online phenomenon. More and more articles about a variety of subject areas are being uploaded everyday over the internet. People who have websites have turned to articles to increase their page views.

In turn, they are supported by online advertisers who rely on their page views for advertisement views and consumer awareness. Search engines also rely on the articles submitted to their directories to rank websites during a search. The more articles in the directory, the better the rank.

But the use of online article marketing has lowered the quality of the materials that are being posted over the internet. Instead of the well-written articles that inform consumers about a relevant topic, websites post materials that are haphazardly written. Check some of the websites that come out from the search engines and you will see just how much the quality of the Internet articles have lessened.

Some articles on the Internet are copied from another website. Even though they have different first paragraphs and introduction, the essence of the article or even the body will be the same exact same thing. Some rephrase the original article but when you read it, you will see that the concept and the principles being discussed are often the same. This is why there are a lot of duplication when you research over the Internet. Some will even present an entirely different topic after the second paragraph.

Another problem is the structure and grammar of the articles posted. Most of the articles nowadays have really atrocious grammar and several wrong spellings. Typos are also pretty common in websites. The structure of the articles is also not well-done, leading people to think that the people who wrote them are non-writers.

Reliability is also another problem that has cropped up with article marketing. Since articles are written primarily for the search engine rank and the page views for advertisers, most articles will no longer contain any authors. This is considered unreliable sources especially for people who are researching technical pieces. Only a couple of websites have articles that carry bylines.

This has affected the reliability of the information that are gotten from the Internet. Some in fact cannot be trusted at all especially the sites that are not so well-known.

Fixed Asset Management

Thursday 7 August 2008 @ 8:22 pm

Fixed asset management is an accounting process that seeks to track fixed assets for the purposes of financial accounting, preventive maintenance, and theft deterrence. This applies to all industries because doing so makes the workplace more productive.

Without fixed asset management, the equipment and resources of the company are not used both effectively and efficiently. Think of it like a car. If you do not have the oil changed, it will break down. The net effect is being able to save money instead of spending it on repairs which could have been avoided in the first place.

This is why companies take various steps to manage these closely. For instance, machines that are used undergo regular maintenance. If anything needs to be replaced or replenished, this is ordered well in advance so there will not be any disruptions at the workplace.

If the machines are already obsolete and there are newer models that can do a better job, management must consider the costs of buying it or maintaining the old one. In recent times, new equipment is purchased to avoid being left behind the competitors.

Management also has to coordinate with the various departments in the company to see how each one is doing. This is done on a monthly basis to determine whether the company is achieving growth. If it is not, find out why and then do something about it.

For large companies that need to ship goods nationwide, management has to check on their logistical support. Will it be cheaper to maintain their own set of trucks or should they outsource this to someone else?

If the company is experiencing some hard times because of a few companies that are not pulling their weight, management has to decide whether to sell it or find a way to improve it. Should there be an opportunity to gain something, then they also have to consider if this will be beneficial to their portfolio.

Companies also let their auditing teams conduct an inventory to take into account their fixed assets. Sometimes, they may need outside help to do it and there are a number of established companies that have the manpower to do exactly that. They can even suggest to management improvements that need to be done that may well be worth the expense of hiring seasoned professionals.

In order for management to see how well the company is doing, the asset management data has to be put on paper. These days, this means computerizing everything so everyone in management will be able to give their input and agree to a suitable plan.

Fixed asset management is what every company needs to survive in the 21st century. This will serve as a guide whenever money has to be used to buy things or whether the funds of a certain project have to be diverted elsewhere.

Before any decision is made, they have to ask themselves a series of questions. For instance, will this be good for the business long term? How much can we make? How much do we stand to lose? Is this the latest technology around? Is this the best thing in the market today?

These are just some of the questions that companies have to ask themselves in order to practice effective fixed asset management.
